Flu Vaccinations
Chase Pharmacy is able to offer a flu vaccination service, costing £15, to help you avoid the effects of seasonal flu this winter. Not all people are entitled to free vaccination through the NHS and we are happy to provide this service to those people who would not otherwise be able to get the vaccination. Please remember that seasonal flu strains are different to swine flu and this vaccination does not protect against swine flu.
Emergency Hormonal Contraception
Levonelle One Step is commonly known as "the morning after pill" (emergency pill). It is used to reduce the chances of becoming pregnant after unprotected sexual intercourse and is effective for up to 72 hours after risk. The morning after pill is available from Chase Pharmacy with or without a doctor’s prescription.
Lifestyle
We have a special interest in healthy hearts! We can advise you on changes that you could make to your diet and lifestyle which would be of benefit. If necessary we will advise you to see your doctor. Early detection of potential problems can prevent heart attacks or strokes in the future.
Diabetes and Cholesterol Testing
Our Cholesterol and Diabetes check will involve a 10-15 minute consultation and will take several blood test readings, including cholesterol and glucose levels and you’ll get your results straight away. There is a charge for this service.
Unwanted Medications
It is very dangerous to hoard unused medicines, or to throw them away. If you return them to us, we will dispose of them properly for you.
First Aid & Medical Equipment
We are able to supply the correct first aid kits that are required by law for industrial and business use. We also supply electronic blood pressure testing equipment for home use, and also blood glucose testing instruments for diabetics.
Pet Medicines
Chase Pharmacy offers a wide range of pet medication including the protection and prevention of fleas, ticks and worms. We are able to fill prescriptions issued by your vet.
Travel Medicines
We can provide tablets to prevent malaria if you have a private prescription from your doctor.
Nutrition
We stock a very complete range of vitamins and minerals and other dietary supplements, including ranges which are used by professional nutritionists. We will be pleased to use our professional skill and expertise to advise you on the selection of the most suitable product for your needs. We will also advise you on general dietary matters, for babies, children and adults.
Palliative Care Support
We keep a wide range of palliative care medicines in stock to support the community teams deliver end of life care in the community.
Stop Smoke Support
Nicotine replacement therapy and stop smoking support are available as well as supervised methadone consumption.
